Family Days at the Dockyard

Dylan and me hanging out at my office

Santa Claus isn’t going to be a problem this yearWhere else do you see a submarine at the fair?

The naval base held their annual family days this past weekend and we headed down on Saturday to check it out. We took Dylan a couple of years ago but she was still to small to really take part in anything, well that has definitely changed. Dylan loved the fact that we were going to a fair just like the ponies in her My Little Pony book. So of course we had hot dogs, soda, a train ride and cotton candy but the highlight of the day according to Dylan was the ferris wheel (also a part of the pony book).  She couldn’t wait to get on the ride and wasn’t scared once.  Even when we stopped at the top we just took turns waving to mom and jack and being amazed at how small all the people looked. The military does a really good job of putting this event on and we all had a blast, even Jack who pretty much took over Dylan’s previous job of being to small to really do anything!

See you’re sporting a little facial hair action now that you’re on leave. Good luck with getting back into Crossfit. Fantastic photo of Dylan and Jack.
