Happy Natal/Heritage/Whatever you are using as an excuse not to go to work on Monday – Holiday Weekend! We here at the kwasny household have been celebrating the holiday by undertaking what is likely Nardine’s favorite thing in the whole wide world – SHOPPING! (sorry Dylan and Jack but I’m sure you are a very close second.) Nardine spent all day Saturday on a much deserved Girls Day Out with Diane and Kim. From what I could understand from the excited, high speed, post shopping report, Nardine attempted to and may have succeeded in trying on every dress and pair of shoes for sale along Spring Garden road and at Dartmouth Crossing. All her hard work paid off to the tune of two new pairs of shoes and something else that I said looked really good but can’t for the life of me remember what it is right now (I may get in trouble for this…)
Dylan, Jack and I took the opportunity to head downtown and hook up with Kirk, Laurie and Ethan to check out the Natal Day festivities. Needless to say with face arm painting, popcorn, playgrounds and ice cream everyone had a really good time. Jack was super happy to be outside, taking in all the sights and sounds from the comfort of his sheep skin lined stroller.
Today saw phase two of the shopping mission put into action, but this time I was the lucky center of attention. With our Caribbean cruise approaching (though not quite quick enough) and some great summer sales on, it was time to beef up my summer wardrobe. Thankfully Nardine was once again up to the challenge and I now feel like I can hit the islands properly attired.
So why the sudden surge in shopping? I’m pretty sure that Nardine is just putting in a couple of ‘training’ days to prepare for the serious ‘work’ that will begin once Cas and John arrive on Tuesday! Dylan has been eagerly counting down the number of sleeps left until the big day and I’m pretty sure that Jack has been saving one of his smelliest diapers for Grandpa….

Well good for you Nardine…I was beginning to worry that your husband was in charge around the house. You have great taste in clothing especially Jack’s AB-CD t-shirt…awesome. And it looks like our little princess had great time downtown taking in all the festivities. As excited as you are about your cruise… Grandma and I are equally excited about spending time with the kids…. they’re just growing up to fast…take care..luv you all
