It’s hard to find treasure under all this snow. So Cory found a geocache appropriate for wintertime. We bundled up the kids, entered the coordinates and took off down the old logging road. It was a beautiful day and walking in the snow was quite easy as we enjoyed the pretty lake side views. We should have know our luck was about to run out because both kids had been happy and dry for the past hour. We found the treasure 5ft up a tree and Dylan claimed her prize.
Then to no fault of her own she took a sixer into the lake. Her little boot broke through the edge of the lake and sucked up her leg, while it filled with freezing water. Treasure hunting had ended for the day. We removed Dylan’s soaking boot and replaced it with my glove put her on my shoulders and carried her home. Better luck next time Dylan!
Since the weather has been quite mild, it has been perfect for making snowman. Cory and Dylan created a little snowman family in the backyard. It took then quite some time and they were very proud of their efforts.

We Love the snowman family.
