Grammy Fuller is now a dual citizen of Australia and Canada. The family went downtown Victoria yesterday morning for the citizenship ceremony, which was proceed over by a sensible Judge. I feel he summarized the essence of what it means to be Canadian. “Even non-Canadians cover there luggage with the Canadian flag whenever they travel because the symbol of the maple leaf garners respect.” That`s pretty cool.
After the ceremony we went to Merchies Tea Room to celebrate, the pub was out because of the kids. The Inner Harbour is still one of my favorite places to visit. Later that evening 30 of my parents closest friend arrived bearing Canadiana gifts, such as flags, maple syrup, Canadian Beer, maple leaf hats, coolers, beer covers and a little maple leaf duck that holds your beer while your swimming in the pool. Safe to say next summer Canada Day celebrations are going to be first class at my parents house.
