Love Jack – but man does he need to learn how to fall asleep! Right now it’s taking the little man upwards of two hours sometimes to finally fall asleep for the night and lately he’s taken to not napping during the day. I wonder if they make baby nytol?
Breaking News – the new patio door has successfully been installed! Despite having to rebuild the door opening (including new 2×10, yes 2×10 header) the new door went in without to many major problems. It is a 100 times improvement over what we previously had and Dylan has already christened it by writing here name clearly on the outside – consider it her seal of approval.
Dylan, dad and I spent the day ‘treasure hunting’ around St Magaret’s Bay. We came across some crazy sites, including an abandoned 130 room Sea Side Spa and the Chateau Paradis, a castle in the middle of nowhere. Dylan once again located her standard treasure of chocolate frogs but also brought along a Shrek doll to trade for one of the toys in the geocache. Bill was once again in awe of the small East Coast fishing villages and may have even purchased a vacant lot when I wasn’t looking – no way I coming to visit him if he retires here!
Nardine and mom spent the day keeping an eye on an ever wakeful Jack and preparing for tomorrow’s big BBQ (weather is supposed to be +20C with the possibility of late afternoon thundershowers which means odds are it will rain all day). Mom has done a really good job of curbing her desire to hold Jack 24/7 which both Nard and I really appreciate as we have no desire to continue the practice once she leaves for Edmonton!

What a little sweetheart – hard to believe he is so big now after only 5 weeks. Bill and Cory have done a great job getting thru Nardi’s list.
Reading your blog makes me want to have a house full of kids. It is definitely great birth control! Jack is the cutest thing, however kids lose their cutest when they don’t sleep. LOL. I think the plan is when Keith & I have kids, we’re sending them to your house as you’ll be well experienced by then.
Glad you’re enjoying our blog too, even if it is at 3am. Such a great way to keep in touch. Back in the saddle yet with Crossfit? Keith is putting us all to shame going to the gym and playing soccer and squash with the boys. Say hi to Nardine for us.
