24 hours crammed into a little airline seat, watching movies from 1992…this was not how I saw my tour in Afghanistan beginning. Trenton to Scotland to Camp Mirage…20 hours, 6 bad airline meals and I was back in the Middle East. In Mirage they ran us through a quick in clearance [...] Jack has finally tasted his first ice cream. We have been trying all summer to encourage Jack to partake in this delicious treat. Mom handed Jack a cone yesterday and he took his first lick and say “Yum Yum” about 10 times, he really enjoyed it. We also skyped last night with Cory [...] Yesterday Dylan and I took the 2.5 hour Train from Victoria to Nanaimo. We both enjoyed the trip, Dylan especially like the tressel bridges and little tunnels. In Nanaimo we had lunch with Grandpa, Uncle Matt and Great- Grandma. After lunch the boys took off to shot targets and the girls went shopping!!!!! [...]
